Agency Moves: FCB hires creative duo as ACDs

Brendan McMullen, Jacob Pacey join FCB as ACDs

FCB Canada is bringing ACD duo Brendan McMullen and Jacob Pacey aboard, the agency announced on Tuesday.

McMullen and Pacey each boast more than a decade of experience working in marketing, including spending the last eight years as creative partners. The duo worked as an art director and copywriter respectively at Zulu Alpha Kilo and BBDO Canada, before moving on to senior art director and copywriter roles at Ogilvy Canada and LG2. Now, McMullen and Pacey have accepted associate creative director positions with FCB.

As a creative team, McMullen and Pacey have worked with a range of clients across categories including Visa, Bell, Doritos, Pizza Hut, Interac and Cottonelle. The duo also worked on a Harley-Davidson documentary project called Common Ground. McMullen and Pacey’s work has been recognized at several awards shows throughout their careers, including the Clios, Effies, Marketing Awards, ADCCs and CMAs.

“As advertising creatives, we’re half-artist, half businessperson. Being able to manage that dichotomy is what makes for great advertising that solves your clients business problems, and we think FCB has really found that balance,” Pacey said in a news release announcing the hirings.

”We’ve always admired FCB Toronto’s track record of producing innovative, interesting work that respects the consumer and achieves real results, and we’re really excited to become a part of that,” McMullen added.
