Montreal-based clothing company Psycho Bunny is partnering with Tennis Canada to launch a retail pop-up on-site at this week’s National Bank Open, showing off the brand’s latest tennis-inspired offerings.
Located in both Toronto and Montreal, where the women’s and men’s professional tennis tournaments in the National Bank Open are respectively being held, the pop-up will sell the brand’s debuting tennis-inspired lifestyle collection.
Psycho Bunny launched a video showcasing its new collection with Tennis Canada, earlier this summer. The company needed a strong anchor after launching in Canada less than two years ago, and the brand felt the growing popularity and visibility of tennis in Canada would help with this.
Along with sporting new products, the pop-ups also integrate the brand more heavily into the National Bank Open. The builds include special offerings on-site in both locations like t-shirts, hats and the new tennis collection for sale, a 10% discount code shoppers can use when they walk in and branded ponchos handed out on-site.
The pop-up runs until August 12 in both cities. Psycho Bunny is behind the creative aspect of the pop-up, while Community handled the strategy, experiential and production.
The fashion label and Tennis Canada agreed to a three-year partnership, earlier this year. The deal sees the brand become the official athletic apparel sponsor for all the Canadian national teams, and of Team Canada for the Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup events. The deal also made Psycho Bunny the official athletic apparel sponsor of the National Bank Open, with its new lifestyle collection created specifically for the event.
The National Bank Open is the name of the Canadian Open tennis tournament organized by the ATP and WTA Tours. The event began on Aug. 3 and runs until Monday.
