Lululemon adds creative director

Andrew Quinn is the new creative director for Lululemon, based in Vancouver. He was most recently creative director for Seen Studios in London, U.K., which had a mandate to “design brand environments with purpose.”

He was previously design director of brand concepts and environment for London’s AQ Creative, primarily working on creative concepts for retail brands from pop-up and campaign driven activations through to flagship offers for retail, hospitality, automotive, events and exhibitions.

Quinn worked on a roster of brands and projects that included Nike, Alexander McQueen, Jimmy Choo, Mercedes Benz, Jaguar Land Rover, Samsung, Instagram and Heathrow Airport.

Canadian Tire makes a promotion and new hire

Jonathan Flynn has been promoted to marketing manager with Canadian Tire and Ray Balberman has joined the company as associate VP of media strategy and planning.

Flynn was previously the retailer’s associate marketing manager, spearheading strategy planning and execution of annual marketing plans for Auto, Christmas, Olympics and owned brands Paderno & Vermont Castings portfolios. Agency-side, Flynn worked as a paid media specialist for The Home Depot and GM, and business performance strategist for iProspect. He also held stints at OMD in Toronto and Ireland.

Most recently, Balberman spent more than five years as director of media strategy at Loblaw, where he led a team that guided annual and campaign planning for CPG companies whose products are sold through the retailer.

Previously, he was a strategist and senior media executive at EssenceMediacom, where he worked with a wide range of stakeholders (brand managers, creative agencies, research firms, media publishers) to develop multichannel media plans that responded to brand needs.

TD moves a marketer

Kim Snow has moved into the position of marketing manager of insurance with TD Bank. For more than three years, Snow was marketing manager of credit cards, leading the Starbucks partnership marketing launch for TD’s Loyalty Hub.

She also led the strategy and launch for the new Uber partnership to drive everyday cardholder value through emerging categories.
