Camden names CFO its new president

Camden has appointed Marie-Michèle Jacques as the new president of all the agency’s offices in Canada, France and Asia.

Jacques is a co-founder of Camden and a principal partner across all offices, having previously served as the chief of finance and human resources. Since 2007, the 17-year shop vet has held various roles spanning consulting, media, administration, finance and human resources.

This appointment is part of a significant restructuring of Camden’s executive leadership and reflects the company’s desire to expand its international presence in line with its 2025-2030 strategic plan.

Mathieu Bédard remains CEO of Camden and his focus will now shift to the execution of the agency’s five-year plan, concentrating on strategic development, international acquisitions and partnerships that it hopes will position Camden as a leading boutique agency in major global markets.

This spring, Camden appointed Félix Major as its new GM in Montreal. Recent campaign work includes supporting non-profit retirement advocacy and education sector insurer, RTOERO.

Tan Tallent, director of creative strategy with XMC

XMC names new director of creative strategy

Tan Tallent has joined sponsorship and experiential agency, XMC, as director of creative strategy.

Tallent was most recently brand director with Toronto-based agency, Juliet. Prior to that, Tallent held account director and managerial roles with Community Agency, FCB and Mosaic North America. In his career, he has crafted campaigns for brands including Coca-Cola, Investors Group, NFL, Bacardi and Budweiser.

XMC recently provided XM and athlete management support for Sobeys/Empire’s “Feed the Dream” campaign.

Ben Egnal, the new associated creative director with Klick

Klick adds an ACD

Ben Egnal is the new associate creative director with health agency, Klick.

He arrives from Public, where he held the same ACD role. Prior to Public, Egnal was art director at Leo Burnett, working on brands such as Canadian Tire, Milk-Bone and Rice Krispies.

He was a freelance art director for McCann and art director at Beyond Marketing Group, working on a client roster that included Google Play, Harlequin and Toronto’s North of Brooklyn Pizzeria.
