Air Canada has appointed its first chief digital officer

Air Canada appointed Firas Al Osman as the airline’s first chief digital officer.

In this new role, Al Osman will be responsible for the development and implementation of a digital transformation strategy at Air Canada. Key areas of focus will include enhancing CX, driving efficiency and innovation and improving operational processes and performance.

Al Osman joins Air Canada from a leading professional services organization. Previously, he led the development and execution of large-scale digital transformation programs for major organizations across multiple industries including airlines, financial services, insurance and healthcare.

Aussie expedition cruise company Aurora Expeditions has named a new CMO

Greg Cormier has joined Aurora Expeditions as the new chief marketing officer to support the Australian-owned cruise company’s broader expansion plans.

Cormier was most recently VP of digital marketing and ecommerce for small group travel company, G Adventures, based in Toronto. Prior, he served as senior director of marketing and interactive at SiriusXM Canada. He began his career as a marketing manager for Maple Leaf Foods.

Labatt promotes two brand marketers

Kaitlyn Han has been promoted to assistant brand manager for Michelob Ultra at Labatt Breweries of Canada. She was previously media manager for the brewer. Agency side, Han was the supervisor of media planning for UM Worldwide responsible for Janssen and Johnson & Johnson.

Janelle Bradley has also been promoted to assistant brand manager for Bud Light. She joined the brewer as an event coordinator in 2022 and was most recently associate innovations manager for Labatt-owned Mill St Brewery.
