Agency Moves: BHLA names new national EVP and managing director

Broken Heart Love Affair names senior leader

Broken Heart Love Affair (BHLA) has named Rachelle Claveau (pictured above) as the organization’s national EVP and managing director. In her new role, Claveau will lead the team and oversee all aspects of the agency operations across the country.

Claveau originally joined Broken Heart Love Affair in 2023 to open its Montreal office, Agence BHLA, and for the past eight months has also been the acting managing director in the Toronto office.

Before joining BHLA, she served as president of Publicis Montreal for six years and led the agency through a transformative period of growth in the Quebec market. She was president at FCB Montreal for two years, following 12 years in various senior roles at Cossette in Montreal.

Leo Burnett adds a creative director

Rodger Eyre (pictured above) is Leo Burnett’s new creative director.

Previously, Eyre was the group creative director at both Zulu Alpha Kilo and Juniper Park\TBWA. Throughout his career, Eyre has worked on campaigns such as Tim Hortons’ “The Away Game,” Nissan CFL’s “Back in the Game” and Gatorade’s “Sledge Hockey.”

His work includes supporting the Canadian launches of the Nissan Rogue, Micra and Qashqai and Mercedes-Benz C-Class.

Jacknife completes rebrand of Element Event Solutions

Toronto agency Jacknife has rebranded Chair-man Mills Corp. as Element Event Solutions, marking the unification of nine event rental companies across Canada.

As part of the rebrand, Jacknife collaborated with the Element team and ACA president and brand consultant, Andrea Hunt, to develop the brand strategy and positioning in the event services space.

“Our strategic partners… helped us to manifest our strategy into a new brand entity that respects our past while positioning us for the future… a brand that resonates with our stakeholders and is capable of building leading national brand recognition over time,” Allison Freeman, CEO of Element Event Solutions, tells strategy.

Beyond a new name, logo and website, the redesign included uniforms, vehicle fleet branding and environmental design.
