A deeper look at the 2024 Media Agency of the Year winners

For the next few days, we will be rolling out profiles of this year’s Agency of the Year winners. Check out the winners in other categories here.

This week, strategy got to celebrate 35 years of AOY at the annual awards gala in Toronto. Winners were revealed at the show and online, but now we’re starting to publish the features that graced this year’s Fall print issue.

First up, Media. This year’s Gold winner was Initiative and in its profile, the agency talks about how it’s investing in its greatest asset – people – in order to make its mark in the age of AI.

The runner-up to Initiative was Silver winner UM. This agency is setting itself up for success by encouraging its talent to explore new opportunities in tech and to build upon ideas with an optimistic mindset.

And finally the Bronze medalist, Media Experts, underwent a brand refresh that includes re-imagining the agency’s approach to client strategy and planning, with a focus on building consistent connection points.
