Edelman names Citizen Relations vet its new VP and CD
Abeer Verma (pictured above) has joined Edelman as VP and creative director. Most recently, Vermas was the creative director with Citizen Relations.
Verma was also senior writer with Grey Canada, working on a client roster that included Volvo, HSBC, PepsiCo and Metrolinx. Before that, he held the same role with Giants & Gentlemen, handling brand work for RBC and the National Arts Centre.
Publicis adds a CD
Jon Webber (pictured above) has joined Publicis as creative director. Prior, Webber was a freelance brand and content strategist and group creative director with .Monks.
At .Monks, Webber was creative lead on all projects running out of the Toronto office, including work for Fidelity Investments, HP Canada and Tim Hortons. He also served in creative director roles with Zulu Alpha Kilo and Proximity Canada.
BHLA announces hire and promotion for Québec team
Agency Broken Heart Love Affair (BHLA) is growing its Québec team with the arrival of Maeva Claveau (pictured top left) as brand lead.
Claveau brings experience from both the agency and client sides, having worked at places like mortgage lender Nesto, Publicis and food marketing agency Braque. She will be responsible for brands such as Wawanesa, SSPAD and Liberté en VR, as well as all adaptation mandates for Canadian clients.
In addition, BHLA has promoted brand lead Cassio Campos (top right) to strategist, analysis and research. Campos has worked on accounts such as Go RVing Canada and Liberté en VR, Burger King, Kruger, SSPAD and World Vision Canada.
PMA Canada adds national brand manager
Heidi Smith (pictured above) has joined wine and sprits agency PMA Canada as national brand manager.
Most recently, Smith was the national portfolio manager for wholesaler and importer Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits and field sales associate with diversified alc/bev company Mark Anthony Group.
