Agency Moves: New CSO at NFA, plus promotions at Diamond

NFA names new CSO

No Fixed Address (NFA) has promoted Zach Klein, former EVP and head of strategy, to the chief strategy officer (CSO) role at the agency.

In his role, he will continue to lead NFA’s strategy department. Klein and his team have spearheaded some of NFA’s most influential campaigns, including Field Roast’s “Brat Summer,” Greenfield’s “Bacon is Rain” and CREA’s “Together We’ll Make Home Happen.”

“[Klein’s] approach to strategy is a combo of hearts and smarts – always in service of creativity and connection to people and the world,” says Priyanka Goswami, president of NFA. “He is a driver of culture, a beacon for talent and a catalyst for growth – all things we value at NFA and need in our CSO.”

Klein was also a co-founder and strategist with Paper Strategy and was previously a digital strategist with Taxi.

Diamond adds BBDO vet, promotes six senior marketers

Diamond has made a slew of senior moves, including adding Karlina Bear as vice-president, strategy.

Reporting directly to chief strategy officer Lori Davison, Bear brings experience in brand strategy, communications planning, and marketing leadership. Previously vice-president, strategy at BBDO Canada, Bear led strategy for brands such as Sobeys, OLG, and the March of Dimes.

Also, Diamond has promoted Simon Craig, Jordan Cohen, Mark Holden, Anand Iyer, Marianne Lau and Andrew Mowbray to VP group creative director.

In the summer of 2023, Craig was named the agency’s creative director. Before joining Diamond, Craig held freelance CD duties and was co-founder, partner and creative of Send + Receive. Before that, he was freelance writer and creative director with SJP Creative and an ACD with Taxi. Craig has worked with clients including Boston Pizza, Purina, Stella Artois, and the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Cohen, in his role as creative director with Diamond, worked on accounts such as the Terry Fox Foundation, theScore BET, Post, TD, Skip and Pizza Hut, joining the shop in the fall of 2021. Cohen was previously creative director with Taxi and for more than two years served as a CD with Cossette. For more than three-and-a-half years, he operated Holden Brand and prior, he was VP, CD for BBDO Canada, and the lead creative director on Sobeys’ account.

Iyer held the ACD role with No Fixed Address for two years, and was previously senior art director with BBDO Canada for more than four years. Iyer has worked on campaigns for Skip, Right to Play, Sunnybrook and the Royal Ontario Museum.

Lau joined Diamond as an ACD, and served as freelance creative director for more than three-and-a-half years, working on brand accounts such as Shopify, TD (Wealth, Insurance), Shoppers Drug Mart, Sobeys, Corby Distillery, Sapsucker, and Skip.

Mowbray, as the new VP, group director, digital experience, spearheads immersive digital experiences that fuse UX best practices with technology and creativity. He served as creative director with Diamond for nearly six years.

Diamond’s client roster includes Post Consumer Brands, Sinai Health Foundation and Canadian Blood Services.
