Subway Canada launched its first-ever holiday menu items and unveiled a “Secret Sandwich Elves” window displays at locations in Montreal and Toronto ahead of National Cookie Day on Dec. 4.
The aim of the display is to promote the new flavours while also encouraging customers to take photos. “Launching our first-ever festive menu items is a major milestone for Subway, giving our guests new ways to celebrate with us,” said Courtney Hindorff, managing director for Subway Canada. “With vibrant ‘Secret Sandwich’ Elves displays and delicious seasonal flavours, we’re creating something truly special that inspires connection and makes Subway a part of the traditions that matter most to Canadians.”
The limited-time Festive “Faves Meal” includes a six-inch holiday sub with cranberry Dijon, crispy potato rings and red velvet cookies. Another holiday menu item includes a footlong gingerbread cookie with ginger spice and molasses.
Subway’s “Secret Sandwich Elves” holiday displays were created in collaboration with Toronto artist Briony Douglas, who recently worked with the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) and Royale on an artwork made of hockey sticks that was unveiled last week at Toronto’s Eaton Centre.
The festive displays can be viewed at Subway locations at 127 Bremner Boulevard in Toronto and 480 Boulevard Saint-Laurent in Montreal starting Dec. 3. The windows will remain open for public viewing throughout the holiday season.
Earlier this year, Subway Canada enlisted Toronto Raptors Scottie Barnes and Chris Boucher for its campaign touting the QSR’s Caribbean-inspired rice bowls. In February, Subway also launched a Valentine’s Day campaign called “Meat Cute,” in which unsuspecting passers-by were paired up for impromptu lunch meetups over Subway sandwiches.
