Agency Moves: AdClub TO leadership change, The Hive names VP of strategy

AdClub appoints 2025 leadership team

The Advertising Club of Toronto (AdClub) has appointed a new leadership team for 2025, effective Jan. 1.

After serving as vice president for two years, Caitlin Neve [pictured above] has been named president, succeeding Amanda Newell. Neve has served on the Ad Club for more than six years in addition to her full time advertising sales role at Pinterest.

Alan Sifuentes has been elected vice president, transitioning from his previous role as director of giving. Sifuentes is an accomplished digital media professional, currently serving as chief digital officer at Chameleon Digital Media.

The Advertising Club of Toronto is a not-for-profit organization that serves the advertising industry and all its related services, including media, creative, production, advertising and marketing.

The Hive names VP of strategy

Jean George [pictured right] is The Hive’s new VP of strategy.

She is formerly the shop’s strategy director, and strategic lead for OLG’s iCasino, iLottery, Proline and Proline+.

For CBC and the Canadian Olympic Committee, George was strategic lead on developing the campaign platform for the 2024 Olympics.

She also provided strategic support on the development of Sea Doo’s campaign platform, “The Sea Doo Life,” For BRP.

Hill & Knowlton appoints GM for Toronto office

Vivek Prabhu has been appointed the general manager of Hill & Knowlton’s Toronto office, where he will also continue leading the PR shop’s national Public Affairs practice.

Before joining Hill & Knowlton as deputy GM this summer, he was head of corporate affairs for testing services company, Switch Health. This marks a return Hill & Knowlton engagement for Prabhu, who was previously the agency’s VP and Toronto practice lead of public affairs.

Rethink promotes two

Jacob Gauthier was promoted to associate creative director at Rethink. Previously, Gauthier served as an art director with both MacLaren McCann and Camp Pacific in Vancouver. He was also a freelance art director with DDB Canada.

Gauthier’s brand work includes campaigns for Nescafe, London Drugs and Vancouver PD.

Additionally, Hannah Au has been promoted to associate creative director in Rethink’s Vancouver office. Au was most recently a copywriter with Rethink, serving in that role for nearly six years. Her work includes “Find Bowie” for Telus.

VML’s Diff adds an ACD

is starting a new position as associate creative director at Diff, a VML full-service eCommerce agency, based in Toronto.

She joined Diff early in 2022 as a senior visual designer.

Ferguson is a former Stream Commerce, a Shopify Plus Agency, and worked as a graphic designer with McGraw-Hill Education.
