
Nestlé makes senior marketing move
Carm DaSilva (pictured) is transitioning from Nestlé’s coffee business to VP of marketing for the company’s everyday confectionary marketing team.
Previously, DaSilva served as VP of marketing for Nescafé and Starbucks at home for more than four years. She oversaw Nescafe campaign work and positioned the brand as a global player, focusing on its sustainability efforts.

Fairmont Hotels and Resorts names marketing director for North and Central America
Emily Venugopal is starting a new position as director of marketing and communications for North and Central America at Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, based out of New York City.
Before joining the Toronto-headquartered hotel chain, Venugopal served as senior public relations consultant with New York’s Bacchus Agency, working on a client roster that includes Miami’s Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club, Four Seasons Miami, London’s Jumeirah Carlton Tower and New York steakhouse restaurant Benjamin Restaurant Group.
Poppi names marketing director for Canada
Emma Glennon is Poppi’s marketing director for Canada.
Last summer, the trendy sparkling beverage brand, which is headquartered in Texas, announced an expansion into the Canadian market, landing at shelves at Loblaw, Real Canadian Superstore, Metro, Save on Foods, Maxi, Safeway and Costco.
Previously, Glennon served as the challenger brand’s marketing advisor for Canada. Before joining Poppi, she was senior brand manager for Blume and marketing manager for SmartSweets, where she was responsible for the rollout of all primary sales drive periods, new product launches, reformulations, seasonal campaigns and strategic partnerships.
Knix adds an ACD
Walid Alhindi is starting a new position as associate creative director at Knix.
Agency-side, Alhindi served as associate creative director with Grey Group, based out of Toronto, as well as senior art director for the shop.
Alhindi was also art director with Gene for more than three years, as well as art director at Us Communications.
SickKids Foundation names new activation partnerships associate director
Lauren (Hunter) Crouse is starting a new position as associate director of activation partnerships at SickKids Foundation.
Previously, she was the hospital’s manager of activation partnerships. Prior to joining SickKids Foundation, Crouse was brand marketing consultant for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
