Zulu adds a workflow director

Michelle Philpott is starting a new role as creative workflow director at Zulu Alpha Kilo.

In the new position, Philpott will be working with account, production, resourcing, and creative teams to set up a new project management discipline that will help Zulu “streamline workflows and continue pushing for creative excellence.”

Prior to joining Zulu, Philpott was senior manager, creative operations for Mejuri and senior project manager with King Ursa.

She worked on a brand roster that included Shopify, The Beer Store, Twisted Tea, Moosehead Breweries, GE Appliances and Truly.

Signifly names new head of strategic accounts

Digital agency Signifly has named Yvette Yanne as the new head of strategic accounts in Toronto. This hiring, the shop claims, marks a significant milestone for Signifly’s Toronto office, which opened last September, following the success of the Signifly Montreal team.

Yanne’s experience includes senior roles such as EVP of innovation and transformation at Appnovation in Toronto, managing partner of Digitas at Publicis Sapient Hong Kong, general manager at Nurun Hong Kong, and global client partner at Havas Helia in London.

XMC appoints an associate VP

Shawna Freitas is the new associate vice president at sponsorship and experiential shop, XMC Canada. Freitas previously served at XMC Canada as a director for more than five years, joining XMC as a regional manager in 2013.

Clark Influence adds Narcity vet

Vanessa Mileto has joined the Clark Influence Toronto office as the new director of sales and new business.

A five-year veteran of Narcity Media, Mileto most recently served as the media company’s senior client partner. She also held the role of account manager for PHD, working on a client roster that included Ferrero Canada, Old Navy, Asahi/Grolsch/Peroni Beer, and GlaxoSmithKline.

The Toronto, Montreal and Paris-based influencer shop recently secured Olymel as a client.

Chimera Collective adds senior account manager

Sophia Huang is back at Chimera Collective.

Huang, who once served as Chimera’s account specialist, is now senior account manager. Huang previously served two years as a communications associate with peer-to-peer auto-sharer, Turo, and prior, as PR strategist with Sid Lee.

Two FCBers depart

The associate creative director team of Caleb McMullen and Hussein Rumaithi are leaving FCB Canada after nearly six years of service to the agency. They made the announcement on LinkedIn.

McMullen began as a junior copywriter with FCB, while Rumaithi was junior art director.

McMullen worked on campaigns for BMO Twitch site, NXT LVL, BMO Rainbow Deposits and Fountain Tire, while Rumaithi worked on campaigns for BMO, Air Canada and Oh Henry!
