PEC enlists Vanderbrand as AOR for army cultural destination

PEC Community Partners has selected Vanderbrand as its agency of record for Base31, a cultural destination located on the site of a former World War II Air Training Base in Prince Edward County (PEC), Ontario.

Vanderbrand, a Toronto-based indie that helped create packaging design for challenger beverage Sapsucker is being tasked with transforming and repurposing Base31 into a vibrant hub. That means creating a range of amenities including retail spaces, restaurants, creative workspaces, parks, trails and affordable housing, as well as green spaces, art installations and community-driven amenities, while maintaining the architectural features of the air base.

Vanderbrand will also create a strategy and brand identity for Base31 for performance venues like The Drill Hall, a 1,500-person event space featuring the RBC Stage, and The Commissary, an open-air food and drink market, among other indoor and outdoor spaces.
