T&Pm Canada names new ECD
WPP agency T&Pm Canada has appointed Gail Pak as executive creative director.
With 15 years of experience leading agencies, including Crispin Porter + Bogusky, Lowe, Zulu and McCann, Pak has spearheaded award-winning campaigns for prominent brands such as Labatt, Petro-Canada, Mastercard and Kids Help Phone.
She served in different ECD roles, and was VP and creative director with McCann.
Her work has garnered recognition nationally and globally, with the most recent win being a Grand Effie.
“(She) is a unique creative leader, her rich array of work proves that pure creativity has the power to solve business problems,” says Krystle Mullin, group CCO of T&Pm and John St. Canada, adding that she has a track record of delivering relevant content that connects with specific targets in the right ways.
VML promotes Jake Hope to group CD
VML has promoted Jake Hope as its group creative director out of the shop’s Vancouver office.
He joined VML as creative director in September 2023.
Prior, Hope was CD and ACD for Rethink, also based in Vancouver. Before that, he served as senior art director for Cossette.
Hope worked on the McCain X Heinz Love Collab, and also “Don’t Have an IOU Christmas” for London Drugs, “Equalizer Fries” for McDonald’s and “Just Because they Can” for Rick Hansen Foundation.
LG2 brings on designer from Antisocial
Olivia (Livy) Morden is starting a new position as an art director at LG2.
Morden’s brand work includes “Go Swimming” for Tampax + Durex, Joni’s period book, “Make time for Home” for Campbell’s Soup and the Toronto Public Library redesign.
Morden joins the agency from Antisocial, where she was junior designer.
Saatchi & Saatchi Canada expands its creative department
Saatchi & Saatchi Canada has expanded its ranks by adding Ashley Kim and Pegy Korat.
Saatchi & Saatchi says the hires bolster the agency’s creative capabilities in response to growing client mandates from partners such as Toyota, Mondelez and Haleon.
Kim joins the Saatchi & Saatchi team as a junior art director, while Korat joins as a junior writer, having previously honed her skills at Diamond.
The duo will report directly to Rob Gendron, VP and ECD at Saatchi & Saatchi Canada.
