Export Development Canada adds senior marketer
Marie-Anne Abboud is starting a new position as senior strategist of brand campaign at Export Development Canada (EDC).
This marks a return engagement for Abboud at EDC, where she was senior brand strategy manager, serving nearly four years with the Crown Corporation.
She is a former strategic business advisor with Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) and served as senior manager of global integrated marketing for cyber security giant, Trend Micro.
Last week, former VML strategy director Jeremy Singer joined EDC as senior brand strategy manager.
Sobeys names former Loblaw strategist to shopper role
Colin Duncan is starting a new position as shopper marketing manager at Sobeys.
Previously, Duncan was senior manager client strategy at Advance powered by Loblaw, previously known as Loblaw Media. His role was to oversee media strategy for all CPG partners, monitoring performance and recommending optimizations for omnichannel campaigns.
Agency-side, he was a digital strategist with Hearts & Science.
Suncor adds to its marketing team
Renee Lorenz is beginning a new role as marketing communications partner on the Petro-Canada Energy team at Suncor, based out of Calgary.
Previously, Lorenz held the role of loyalty marketing advisor for the company, overseeing the Petro-Points program operations and field marketing initiatives.
She is a former marketing communications advisor with Imperial Oil.
KPMG names a new marketing manager
Caitlin Guiotto is starting a new position as national marketing manager of alliances at KPMG Canada.
The eight-year KPMG marketer was most recently its national marketing manager for ESG and national marketing specialist, infrastructure, government and healthcare.
