Agency Wins: That Good, Talk Shop and Jacknife land new clients

OVO appoints That Good as its AOR

Drake’s brand, October’s Very Own, has appointed Toronto agency That Good as its AOR for marketing, social media and XM.

That Good already has a working relationship with OVO and collaborated on a campaign for last week’s Disney and OVO Pink Valentine clothing collection drop. The team also worked on an international influencer campaign, an OVO and NBA All-Star merchandise collection and an OVO Sound album rollout.

That Good also worked with the brand on activations at select restaurants in Toronto, New York and Houston and on activations at OVO stores in select shopping centres around the GTA.

Lavazza chooses Talk Shop as Canadian PR AOR

PR agency Talk Shop has been selected as Lavazza’s first Canadian AOR.

As the AOR, Talk Shop will oversee integrated communications efforts for the Italian coffee manufacturer and work on media relations, events and partnerships, influencer relations, social-media strategy, management and content creation.

“From the outset of the RFP process, we have seen many synergies between Lavazza’s values and our expertise,” says Talk Shop Media president Krystin Lee. “Supporting their vision and growth in the Canadian market is an exciting opportunity and one we’re deeply passionate about.”

Jacknife secures Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa business

Jacknife has been named the creative AOR for Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa and will lead the go-to-market launch campaign for the brand’s first such destination in Canada.

The future Hard Rock facilities at Rideau Carleton Casino are undergoing a $350 million expansion and rebrand in an effort to “disrupt the entertainment, hospitality and gaming industries” in Eastern Ontario and beyond.

Blackiron previously held the remit.

Jacknife tells strategy that new work is rolling out this month, with campaigns designed to build excitement, drive engagement and establish Hard Rock’s culture, as the business prepares for its grand opening later this year.
