TTC names new director of marketing and social media

Victoria Gorobets has been promoted to director of marketing and social media at the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC).

For two years, Gorobets served as the transit agency’s manager of marketing. She led the development of the commission’s digital content roadmap/strategies and online campaigns to drive engagement for marketing channels while managing relationships with creative, media, PR agencies, vendors and internal stakeholders.

In a LinkedIn post, Gorobets says the TTC has been doing things differently in a world where public-sector marketing can feel slow or siloed away from others.

“From crafting creative strategies to navigating complex environments, we’ve found fresh, innovative ways to connect with audiences that impact the future of ridership,” she said.

Before joining the TTC, Gorobets developed and implemented marketing and communication roadmap/strategies in a senior communications role with Skyservice. Gorobets also served as Air Canada’s social-media marketing manager.
