New VP of PR among YPR recruits
Marketing PR agency YPR is growing.
Paulami Mehta, based in Toronto, has been named vice-president of public relations and influencer marketing. She leaves an account director position at MSL to return to YPR, where she worked in digital adviser, account director and group account director roles from April 2021 to January 2024. Mehta also previously worked as a group account director with Sid Lee.
Her brand work includes United Way Greater Toronto’s “Open House,” and she provided communications and media relations support for Kellogg’s Vector cereal and others.
Mattéo Bonne joins the agency as creative strategist. Bonne has a hybrid background in sociology, journalism and content creation. Brand-side, Bonne worked with Yellow Pages and Groupe TVA.
Marie Stuart Morency is taking on the role of account executive. She was previously Sid Lee’s co-ordinator, public relations and influencer marketing. Brand-side, she was administrative co-ordinator of PR for Groupe Aldo.
Rethink appoints an ACD
is starting a new position as associate creative director at Leo Canada.
Kemp previously held senior copywriting roles at Zulu Alpha Kilo (ZAK) and Performance Art and worked as a copywriter at Taxi.
His creative includes Home Equity Bank’s “Pause to Remember,” Pizza Pizza’s “Fixed Rate Pizza” and Subaru’s “The Greatest Outback of All Time (G.O.O.A.T.).”
Keg marketer joins XM shop
Former Keg senior marketing manager Alex McCarthy has moved into an account director position at Playbook Co., an experiential marketing and custom fabrication agency.
McCarthy was senior analyst of events at Restaurant Brands International prior to the nearly five years he spent at the Keg.
He was also assistant manager of sponsorship and events for Molson Coors.
