Cossette has been named Tourisme Montréal’s new AOR

Tourisme Montréal has appointed Cossette as its lead agency for brand and marketing communications.

Cossette will support Tourisme Montréal in creating and executing campaigns that position Montreal as a top choice for both leisure and business travelers, the agency said in a release.

Jean Hugo Filion, senior vice president and general manager at Cossette Montreal, says the agency’s goal is to showcase Montreal’s vibrant, welcoming and forward-thinking character on the world stage.

“Our partnership with Tourisme Montréal spans over eight years, during which we’ve helped create digital experiences that have become benchmarks in the tourism industry,” Hugo Filion says. “We’re excited to take our collaboration to the next level, bringing together our strengths in brand strategy and campaign development with our established leadership in technological innovation to elevate Montreal’s global visibility.”

Sylvie Charette, chief marketing officer with Tourisme Montréal, says Cossette’s “deep expertise in brand strategy and multi-market campaigns, along with their thorough understanding of the tourism landscape, perfectly aligns with our ambitions for impact and innovation.”

Cossette will work to amplify the brand in key markets, including Canada, the United States and France.

Earlier this week, Cossette named Becca Lucas Lord as its new VP and managing director and Trent Thompson as group creative director. And in February, Filion was appointed as general manager of the agency’s Montreal office, along with newly appointed leaders Judikaela Auffrédou (SVP of strategy), Nadja Décarie (SVP of business) and Louis-Philippe Mathieu (VP of digital group).

In 2023, Tourisme Montréal picked Cossette as its lead digital agency.
