Andrea Hunt joins WFA exec committee

Andrea Hunt, president and CEO of the Association of Canadian Advertisers (ACA), has been appointed to the executive committee of the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA), the global association that represents more than 150 of the world’s biggest brands and more than 60 national advertiser associations.

The appointment was announced as part of broader leadership changes at the WFA that have seen David Wheldon, chief brand officer at global lottery and gaming developer Allwyn, named as the new WFA president. Wheldon takes over from Raja Rajamannar, the chief marketing and communications officer at Mastercard.

“I’m honoured to join the WFA executive committee and represent Canadian advertisers on the global stage,” Hunt said in a news release. She has served in senior roles at Kellogg, Kraft, Molson, Arterra and Mondelez during her marketing career.

“The WFA plays a critical role in advocating for responsible, transparent and effective marketing practices worldwide,” she said.

Time Family of Wines names director of brand

Anahita Pouget is starting a new position as director of brand development and marketing at Time Family of Wines.

Recently, Pouget was director, national DTC, VQA sales for Andrew Peller, whose portfolio includes Peller Estates, Trius and Wayne Gretzky Estates. She was formerly the director of sales and marketing for Phantom Creek Estates.

Pouget, a board member of Wine Growers BC, also served as a senior marketing manager for Mark Anthony Group where she led branding and marketing for the entire Mission Hill Family Estate portfolio.

Sephora Canada appoints first director of social and influencer marketing

has been promoted to become Sephora Canada’s first director of social media and influencer marketing. She was most recently the beauty brand’s senior manager of social media and joined Sephora in 2019.

Prior, she held marketing roles for Canadian Tire and Canadian Cancer Society.
