Agency Moves: Former Truss marketer launches consultancy

Marketer strikes out on her own after tenures at Truss, Spiritleaf

Christine Dawn Quigley has launched marketing consultancy Christine Dawn.

After years of leading marketing and sales strategies for brands in retail, cannabis, and CPG, the Calgary-based marketer is seeking to “help businesses elevate their marketing game as a marketing consultant and brand strategist.”

Quigley was recently director of customer marketing for Truss Beverages and led national customer marketing strategy in Canada for the cannabis-infused drink brand.

Prior, she was national manager of marketing and strategy for Spiritleaf where she focused on team building, strategy and campaigns to help the company grow into one of the country’s largest Cannabis retailers.

Agency-side, Quigley worked as marketing manager for Calgary XM and brand immersion agency Woolf + Wallace.

Jacknife adds client services director

Dominique Anthony is taking on the client services director role at Jacknife.

Anthony has worked with brands such as McDonald’s Canada, Tangerine and TJX during more than a decade of experience in agency and client-side roles.

She most recently served as managing director for Berners Bowie Lee.

Prior, Anthony was VP of strategy and client services for Unbound and senior manager of account management and planning for retail strategy at Rogers.

Signifly appoints head of operations

Digital agency Signifly has appointed Yannick Chauvette to a head of operations and senior consultant position. Chauvette will be responsible for streamlining and strengthening internal processes and mentoring teams.

In the past, Chauvette held key roles at Vortez Solution, Attitude Marketing and Sid Lee before moving to the client side at BRP.

Skylar Media brings in strategic account director

Holly Burke is joining full-service agency Skylar Media, based in Vaughan, Ont., as a strategic account director.

For the past 14 years, Burke was independently employed as a marketing and digital consultant

She previously spent five years as a marketing manager with Kraft Heinz.

Agency-side, Burke was an account director at Critical Mass where she handled brand work for Rolex and Dell Canada.

She also worked as a senior marketing director for Manifest Communications where she organized client and agency teams on the research, planning, creative execution and integrated advertising for Health Canada’s education program through the 2018 federal legalization of cannabis.
