Former McCann Group Canada CEO lands president’s role at Murphy Cobb & Associates
Production investment consultancy Murphy Cobb & Associates (MCA) has appointed Simon Sikorski as president of its North American operations.
Sikorski previously held positions as president of global operations at Extreme Reach and CEO at Craft Worldwide.
Sikorski also served as CEO McCann Worldgroup Canada where he oversaw the growth and management of agencies across disciplines.
In the role, his team supported clients such as L’Oréal, Royal Canadian Mint, GM and Petro Canada.
Zeno Canada staffs up by three
Zeno Canada has announced the hires of creative director Andrew Bradley and brand VPs Rebecca Kardash and Jessica MacDonald.
Bradley has more than 20 years of experience working both in-house and freelance with McCann, Cossette and Union. Bradley also penned IKEA’s “Start the Car” spot and has been recognized at Cannes, The Clios and Ad Age’s Creativity Awards.
Kardash has led innovative brand programs and produced award-winning content for some for brands including P&G, Dyson and Molson Coors. With more than a decade of experience in PR and brand marketing, she joins Zeno to lead work for Molson Coors and Catelli pasta.
MacDonald brings more than 12 years of integrated communications experience to her VP role. At Dyson, she led high-impact strategies during a significant period of growth. Prior, she was part of the technology communications practice at H+K Strategies. She will now lead Zeno Canada’s Newell business across the home, fragrance, baby and beverage categories.
CMA names awards co-chairs
The Canadian Marketing Association (CMA) has named RBC EVP and CMO Mary DePaoli and Zulu Alpha Kilo chief design officer Stephanie Yung as its co-chairs for this year’s CMA Awards.
DePaoli (pictured above), a recipient of Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2024 CMA Awards, leads a team of more than 600 marketing professionals at RBC. She is responsible for building RBC’s brand and reputation globally across the bank’s retail banking, insurance and wealth businesses.
She was behind such initiatives as RBC’s sponsorship of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour and the RBC Training Ground Olympic program.
Prior to joining RBC, DePaoli held a series of senior roles at Sun Life Financial where she led the business segment with a focus on group retirement and investment solutions for corporate plan sponsors.
Yung (pictured above) leads projects for some of Canada’s most notable brands from tourism to telecommunications as a design executive and chief design officer at Zulu Alpha Kilo.
Yung has worked on Canadian and global brands such as President’s Choice, Bell, WestJet, Canadian Tire, P&G, PepsiCo, Sephora and Gatorade. Her work has been recognized by Cannes, D&AD, The One Show and Fast Company’s Innovation by Design. In 2023, she was named Designer of the Year by strategy.
Yung started her career in Toronto at Bløk Design where she honed her craft before moving to Taxi. She also spent more than a decade at Smart Design New York before returning to Canada to take the post of executive creative director of design at Zulu Alpha Kilo.
Yung has presented at Cannes Lions See It Be It program in Toronto and is co-chairing the inaugural Young Lions Design Jury.
This year’s CMA Awards will be presented in Toronto on Nov. 7.
