Changes at Salt XC
Jeff Pontes and Meagan Younger are moving into new positions at Salt XC.
Pontes steps into the role of SVP of digital strategy and CX consulting after spending 3 1/2 years as the shop’s VP of performance and digital strategy.
He previously served as practice lead of performance marketing and campaign services at Accenture in Canada and brings senior experience from his time on digital teams at American Express and Sobeys.
Younger recently started in the position of VP of shopper marketing and strategy at Salt XC.
She most recently served as managing director of shopper marketing and strategy at the shop that she joined in the summer of 2021 as a director of strategy.
Younger previously worked as a director of strategic planning for Naked Creative Consultancy and, prior to that, was employed as a strategist with Mosaic North America.

Leo Toronto expands creative department
Leo Toronto’s creative department is growing with the addition of three new hires.
Adam Pickard has been appointed as creative director of innovation, Shirley Xu Wang has been appointed senior art director and Marly Dichter has been appointed senior copywriter. Pickard will report to CCO Angus Tucker, while Wang and Dichter will report to executive creative director Kohl Forsberg.
Pickard is a former Cossette creative director and has also performed creative director duties at YouTube, Google & M&M Food Market. He previously served as associate creative director at Rogers’s in-house agency, Theo.
Wang preformed art director duties at Citizen Relations where she worked on a client roster that included
Dichter worked for Citizen and John St as well. She has worked on brands such as Boston Pizza, Winners and RTD Simply Spiked.
Weber Shandwick makes two strategic hires
Weber Shandwick Canada says it is “scaling up its creative and analytics firepower” with two strategic hires.
Tushar Balsotra will be tasked with enhancing the agency’s leadership in insights and data strategy as VP of analytics. Weber Shandwick says Balsotra will help lead the rollout of the firm’s newly launched Weber I/O global platform in Canada. He will report to senior VP of innovation and intelligence Becca Young.
Alex Champlin joins as creative director and will be tasked with strengthening the agency’s creative talent under the leadership of Ben Pobjoy, Weber Shandwick Canada’s executive creative director. Champlin most recently held creative director and associated creative director roles with Media Profile.
