Jamie Michaels’s role expands at X
Jamie Michaels is taking on a new role as director of brand strategy and creative for the Americas at social-media company X.
Based in Toronto, he will be leading a team across the U.S., Canada and now Latin America.
Prior, Michaels was director and head of brand strategy for Canada and the U.S. He was also the social platform’s Canadian head of brand strategy.
Before joining X, formerly know as Twitter, Michaels was Rogers’s director of strategic brand integration, sports and media.
As director and head of marketing for the CBC, he led a cross-functional team of 20-plus marketers responsible for the development and activation of advertising partner programs.
Farber named marketing VP for premium chocolate at Ferrero Canada
Joanne Farber is starting a new position as VP of marketing for premium chocolate at Ferrero Canada.
For nearly seven years, Farber was responsible for the Nutella portfolio in the position of director of marketing.
She oversaw Nutella campaigns highlighting outdoorsy lifestyles and holiday imperfections, as well as the brand’s Tim Hortons baked-goods collaboration unveiled last summer. She was also behind the “Savour the Beauty of Canada” campaign and the first-ever CGI Nutella hot air balloon to travel across Canada.
She is a former director of marketing for Right to Play, where she led annual marketing strategy and planning for the global communications team.
Prior, Farber served as innovation manager, chocolate and candy for Kraft Foods where she successfully launched 11 product innovations, including five for Cadbury Dairy Milk.
She was also formerly a brand building manager at Unilever.
Conagra Brands Canada appoints director
Robin Poulain has been appointed director of commercial strategy and insights for Conagra Brands Canada.
Her portfolio is inclusive of 30 brands and more than 400 SKUs across grocery, frozen and snacks and impulse categories.
As part of her new responsibilities, Poulain will lead category growth initiatives, collaborative customer business planning, insights leadership and oversee the retail sales team. She will report directly to Tim Lute, VP of commercial and customer leadership organization.
She brings to Conagra more than 15 years of experience in customer leadership, national sales and marketing, most recently at Kind, Irving Consumer Products and Ferrero.
