The PC Optimum points program and delivery service DoorDash have synced up to give shoppers more opportunities to earn points.
Loyalty members with PC Optimum can now earn five points for every dollar spent on eligible DoorDash orders delivered from restaurants and Loblaw-banner stores such as Real Canadian Superstore, No Frills, Loblaws, Shoppers Drug Mart and more.
“PC Optimum has always been about rewarding Canadians for the things they buy most often,” Lauren Steinberg, EVP and chief digital officer at Loblaw Companies Limited. “By partnering with DoorDash, we’re extending the value of our program beyond our stores and into even more moments of everyday life.”
The brands are highlighting the new partnership with an owned-first national campaign spanning in-app merchandising, CRM and earned media. Veritas is providing communication support.
The campaign offers limited-time launch bonuses on eligible orders for customers who link their PC Optimum and DoorDash accounts.
Off-platform marketing will ramp up with paid media and influencer partnerships as customers become more familiarized with the partnership, according to a news release.
While the campaign’s main focus is digital, it will be bolstered by in-store signage including digital screens, flyer callouts and print collateral.
PC Optimum is activating its audience through CRM and app channels during the campaign’s first phase and DoorDash will provide full-funnel and paid-media support for the second phase.
