Gina Kiroff to lead Magnum Ice Cream as GM in Canada
Gina Kiroff is starting a new role as Canada general manager at premium dessert company Magnum Ice Cream.
Kiroff was most recently Unilever’s head of North American cooking aids and mini meals. Unilever announced in March 2024 that it would be spinning off its ice cream unit, which includes the Magnum brand, by the end of 2025.
As North American marketing lead, she channelled the star power of Cardi B to drive interest and revitalize the Knorr soup and beverage brand.
In a prior role, she served as category marketing director for foods, vitamins and tea. She was also Unilever Canada’s director of foods, supporting efforts to position Hellmann’s as part of a “real food” movement.
Agency side, she held an account director role with DDB Canada.
David Allard named Ricola GM
David Allard will be taking on the role of general manager for Canada at Ricola, with mid-July start date.
Allard most recently served as VP of marketing for Campari Group, where he led a 14-member Canadian marketing team and oversaw profit and loss management of the largest spirits portfolio in the organization.
Campari Canada appointed Allard as VP of marketing in the summer of 2020 and he went on to develop and support marketing efforts for the likes of Grand Marnier, Courvoisier and Forty Creek Whisky.
In a previous role as CMO of Samsung Canada, Allard led a 22-member team responsible for PR, citizenship, digital marketing, planning and brand management. In that role, he looked to build on Samsung Canada’s deep history of building the brand through culturally relevant influencers. He also has experience in roles at Coca-Cola, Diageo and the Campbell Company of Canada.
Allard said in a LinkedIn post that he is honoured to embrace the challenge of joining Ricola to help build on its strong foundation in Canada.
