McCormick & Company appoints senior marketer

Brianna Bedard is starting a new position as a senior marketing manager with a focus on go-to-market strategy at McCormick & Company.

In her former role as senior product manager at the CPG company, Bedard worked on the condiments and sauces team and held brand roles for French’s Canada, Frank’s & Cholula Canada, and North American French’s & Honey.

She also led the expansion of McCormick Mayonesa into the American market and held responsibility over the toppers segment, which included French’s Crispy Fried Onions.

Bedard began with the company in 2013 as a finance clerk before moving into product manager roles for brands such as Thai Kitchen and Club House.

Canadian Men’s Health Foundation chooses marketing and content director

Stephanie Woods is starting a new position as director of marketing and content at the Canadian Men’s Health Foundation, a national non-profit based in Vancouver.

Woods is a content strategist with more than 20 years of experience in editorial leadership, search-engine optimization and brand storytelling. She was previously the organization’s manager of SEO and content.

Woods was formerly a senior account manager and pay-per-click specialist with San Francisco-based web and marketing agency ROI Works Digital.

Suncor promotes marketing adviser

Chris Gmiterek is starting a new position as senior marketing adviser for energy programs at Suncor, based in Calgary. In the role, he will serve as the energy programs manager within the Petro-Canada brand marketing team.

Gmiterek most recently held the position of marketing adviser for brand and customer experience at Suncor.

His duties included leading brand governance within Petro-Canada sales and marketing, leading media efficiency efforts across brand marketing and supporting key strategic partnerships in retail fuels.

Agency-side, Gmiterek formerly worked as a digital account manager at Edelman.

Airbnb selects Canadian marketing lead

Wenchelle Lao has joined Airbnb as marketing lead for Canada.

Lao previously worked at Amazon for close to six years, most recently as the e-commerce giant’s U.S. and global lead of children’s marketing.

Prior to joining Amazon, Lao was at Molson Coors in a marketing manager capacity with a focus on the Coors Light brand.

She was also a field marketing manager with PepsiCo Canada.
