Award-winning duo Sara Radovanovich and Sally Fung are joining Broken Heart Love Affair (BHLA) to take on creative director roles as the agency revamps its talent roster.
Radovanovich and Fung are both departing FCB Canada, where they had been working since spring 2022 as associate creative directors. Radovanovich joined the agency in May 2018 as a senior copywriter and Fung came aboard in May 2019 as a senior art director.
The pair developed their portfolios working for brands such as Adidas, Air Canada, Amazon, IKEA, BMO, BMW, Heineken, Google, Sephora and the Canadian Down Syndrome Society.
Their work on the Adidas “Runner 321” campaign, which advocated for bib No. 321 to be reserved for neurodivergent athletes competing in major marathons, helped FCB take home Gold at the 2024 Marketing Awards and a Cannes Grand Prix Lion in the Direct category the same year.
Members of AdWeek’s Creative Rising Stars list in 2024, Radovanovich and Fung have also earned recognition from the One Show, D&AD, Clios, Effies, LIAs and Webbys.
“They have emotional awareness; they’re innovative and really great people,” Rachelle Claveau, BHLA’s EVP and national managing director, tells strategy. “They create the kind of heartfelt work that people love, which is totally aligned with our mission and where we’re at in our journey, and exactly what the market needs more of.”
Claveau declined to comment on whether BHLA is actively looking to fill the CCO roles made vacant by the departure of Jaimes Zentil and Craig McIntosh last week, saying that the agency is “looking to put teams in a position to be their best selves at work in whatever title or seniority level that is.”
“We are going to miss them dearly,” Claveau said of Zentil and McIntosh, who ended their three-plus year tenures at BHLA last Friday to join Diamond as CCOs. “Not only are they great creatives, they’re also great humans.”
