LG Canada brings in new head of marketing

Mareike Greve is starting a new role as head of marketing at LG Electronics Canada.

Greve joins LG after close to 14 years in a number of senior roles at Whirlpool Canada, most recently as the company’s head of brand marketing and experience. Greve led a marketing team responsible for the development of the brand for Whirlpool Canada’s portfolio of major domestic appliance companies, including JennAir, KitchenAid, Maytag, Whirlpool and Amana.

Prior, as senior marketing manager of CPG and brand and new business development at Gladiator Brand, Greve led the marketing team for all Whirlpool CPG brands and Gladiator Garageworks.

She began her career as a category analyst for Canadian Tire before taking on a consultant role with Carpedia.

In-restaurant marketer promoted at Tim Hortons

Julie Todaro has been promoted to senior manager of in-restaurant marketing for Tim Hortons.

Todaro previously held the in-restaurant marketing manager role for the RBI-owned brand and, prior, served as the QSR’s senior analyst of technology and content management.

Agency-side, Todaro has served as a sales and route operations manager with Toronto’s Vantage Marketing and a brand ambassador with Mosaic.

PepsiCo makes moves in its Lipton partnership

Andrea Ascarrunz is starting a new position as marketing manager at PepsiCo, where she will lead innovation and commercialization initiatives in Canada for the all brands within the Pepsi Lipton Partnership, including Pure Leaf, Brisk and Lipton.

Ascarrunz joined the CPG in November 2022 as an assistant marketing manager for innovation sparkling water, before moving on to a number of associate shopper marketing manager roles.

Prior, she was a shopper and category analyst with Irving Consumer Products.
