Global leadership moves made at WPP
WPP made a series of leadership moves on Friday, with Devika Bulchandani announced as WPP COO, Laurent Ezekiel named global CEO of Ogilvy Group and Floriane Tripolino appointed as CEO of WPP Open X.
As COO, Bulchandani will be responsible for commercializing services and solutions across WPP worldwide, according to a news release. She will work closely WPP agencies to leverage capabilities and geographical reach, while overseeing the country managers, global growth teams and global client leaders.
Ezekiel will oversee the Ogilvy Group’s global business across integrated marketing capabilities that include advertising, PR, social and influence, customer engagement and consulting and health.
Ezekiel was also named executive sponsor for WPP Open X, the bespoke agency team dedicated to working with the Coca-Cola Company.
He had most recently been serving as CEO of WPP Open X after helping secure the industry’s largest-ever global marketing agency partnership with Coca-Cola in 2021. This network-to-network partnership was designed to support the soft-drink maker’s marketing transformation across more than 200 brands in 195 countries.
As CEO of WPP Open X, Tripolino will be responsible for building upon the model established in 2021 and continuing to help scale advanced data and AI solutions, according to the release. The appointment comes after Coca-Cola and WPP renewed their global marketing partnership in May.
For the past four years, Tripolino led the Nestlé account as WPP expanded its media footprint with the brand.
Cindy Rose officially succeeded Mark Read as WPP CEO on Sept. 1 after being appointed to the position in July.
