Pigeon to develop Metro’s health and wellness private label

Metro has selected brand strategy, design and communications agency Pigeon to develop its health and wellness brand, Personnelle.

The Montreal-based agency’s strong background in retail, health and wellness and CPG, along with its work in brand strategy, identity, packaging design and communications, were key in cementing the partnership through an RFP process, according to a news release.

Pigeon will have a mandate to ensure longevity and relevance, while renewing the creative approach for Personnelle, the private-label brand available at Jean Coutu, Brunet, Metro, Food Basics and Super C.

“Contributing to the future of Personnelle is a tremendous source of pride,” Elyse Boulet, president and managing partner at Pigeon, said in the release. “As a long-standing partner of Metro’s private labels, we are delighted to expand this relationship and renew the trust built over the years.”

Last year, Pigeon helped develop a new identity for Irresistible, Metro’s flagship house brand.

Sundae Creative Agency snags food brand

Sundae is partnering with Italian food brand, Bioitalia on social media for both the U.S. and Canadian markets, leading creative direction, content creation and influencer marketing management.

Bioitalia, founded in the mid-90s, is a Southern Italian organic food company, which boasts a roster of products including sauces, pesto, jam, juices, oils and pasta.

PR shop Zak picks up two lifestyle clients

Zak Communications has added lifestyle brands Reversa and Rybko to its client roster.

For skincare brand Reversa, the PR shop with offices in Toronto and Montreal, Zak will have a mandate to increase awareness and support product launches across Canada through PR, influencer, social media and live events.

Zak’s mandate for Rybko will be to introduce the Montreal-based jewelry house to Canadian media while orchestrating a seeding program to help build the brand’s fanbase.

Earlier this year, Zak announced mandates for work with Canadian-designed luxury menswear brand Bugatchi and Montreal-based pharmacy outfit Crystaderm.
