The Blue Jays are fresh off of clinching a playoff spot on Sunday and chasing down their first American League East Division title since 2015 as they enter the final week of the MLB regular season. Now, Schneiders is asking Toronto fans to prove they’ve also got that dog in ’em.
For tonight’s series opener against the Boston Red Sox, Schneiders is celebrating supporters as they reach for a new milestone on Loonie Dog Night, a promotion in which fans can purchase $1 hot dogs at Tuesday night Blue Jays home games.
With strategy and creative led by Rethink, Schneiders is giving away limited-time T-shirts that call to mind merchandise from the Blue Jays’ 1992 and 1993 World Series seasons as fans look to set a new record for hot dogs consumed on the final Loonie Dog Night of the season.

Fans at Rogers Centre first broke the single-night record on July 22 when 84,731 Schneiders Loonie Dogs were sold before topping themselves by hitting the 96,633 on Aug. 26. Before this season, the previous single-game record was 76,627 hot dogs sold in 2023.
“Schneiders Hot Dogs have been part of what makes Blue Jays games so special for almost 15 years. This season, fans broke records and turned our hot dogs into history,” D’Arcy Finley, VP of brands at Maple Leaf Foods, said in a news release. “We created this limited-edition merch to celebrate the success of Loonie Dogs with fans in a way that feels just as special as the summer we shared.”
The Loonie Dog World Champs products will be distributed in Section 108 on the main-level concourse beside The Catch Bar at Rogers Centre on Tuesday night.
On top of the in-game activation, Schneiders will be amplifying the campaign through social channels and DOOH. Rethink PR handled PR for the launch and Fuse Media worked on the DOOH rollout.
