Chapman’s appoints marketing director
Lesya Chapman is starting a new position as director of marketing and communications at Chapman’s Ice Cream.
She most recently served as the Ontario ice cream maker’s marketing manager, supporting initiatives including the launch of a super-premium line, Chapman’s lux positioning and a packaging overhaul.
Chapman, a nearly 14-year veteran of the family business, was previously its PR and communications advisor, joining as a media and marketing consultant in 2012.

Baffin promotes senior marketer
Jessica Liut has been promoted to the VP of marketing role at Baffin.
For nearly three years, Liut was the Hamilton-area apparel and footwear company’s director of brand.
She joined Baffin in 2020 as a marketing manager and recently supported cold weather-related campaign work for Baffin and the CFL. Liut has contributed to Baffin’s first-ever hiking collection, international shipping initiatives and partnerships with the CFL and indie-rock band the Arkells.
Prior, she held the director of brand strategy and communications title for beauty distributor Abundance Naturally.
Agency-side, Liut was a director at EGPR and worked on a client roster that included Aldo, Bulova, Calvin Klein, Citizen, Krispy Kreme and L’Oréal.
Navacord appoints CMO
Court Elliott has been named insurance broker Navacord’s first CMO.
Elliott said in a LinkedIn post that he is looking forward to supporting and driving Navacord’s marketing strategy as it looks to build a bold and unified brand.
Prior to joining Navacord, Elliott was VP of marketing for asset management firm AGF.
He previously served as SVP of communications, marketing and corporate affairs for insurer Aviva Canada.
Former Sephora marketer named brand marketing director at Bushbalm
Stephanie Cheng is starting a new position as director of brand marketing at Bushbalm Skincare.
Cheng had been working in the position of omni-channel trade marketing director for vegan makeup line Nudestix.
Prior, Cheng served in brand marketing manager roles for Sephora and Loblaw and in a variety of beauty-linked marketing roles with Shoppers Drug Mart.
