Wendy’s goes with BSB

wendy’s Restaurants of Canada is consolidating its account with Backer Spielvogel Bates, the agency used by its Columbus, Ohio-based parent.

The Canadian account, which has been with Padulo Advertising of Toronto since 1991, consists primarily of media placement and planning.

Mary Ann Pilotte, Wendy’s marketing director, says the assignment will move to BSB Toronto at the beginning of the New Year.

Wendy’s advertising, which builds on the identity and popularity of company founder Dave Thomas, comes from BSB New York.
