Three Canadian agencies are being folded together in a major move within the country’s advertising industry.
DDB Canada, BBDO Canada and Juniper Park\TBWA are uniting to form Omnicom Advertising Group Canada. TBWA\Group Canada CEO Eve Rémillard-Larose will act as CEO of this endeavor as well.
In an official statement confirming the move, Rémillard-Larose says the agencies involved will remain active, and clients will continue to be serviced by the same teams they’ve been working with, while benefiting from shared capabilities provided by the agencies cooperating.
“Each of our agencies has been investing in tools, capabilities, and technologies. Sharing these investments across the group will help us deliver growth and impact for clients at scale,” Remillard-Larose said.
In early 2023, Omnicom-owned agencies Juniper Park\TBWA, DDB Canada and Bolt Productions consolidated their leadership under TBWA\Group Canada and Rémillard-Larose’s direction. The agencies maintained their existing branding in the meantime.
Omnicom, a global media, marketing and communications holding group based in the U.S., is composed of several agency networks including BBDO, DDB and TBWA. Omnicom has made a similar move to this Canadian creative merger before in another country, consolidating DDB, BBDO and TBWA creative agencies into Omnicom Advertising Services in India.
