Goodbye Allard Johnson, hello KBS+P Canada

There’s a new advertising agency in town and its name is Kirshenbaum Bond Senecal + Partners (KBS+P) Canada.

It’s the product of the fusion between MDC firms Allard Johnson and KBS+P, resulting in the former’s Toronto and Montreal offices being rebranded under the new name.

Mario Daigle, formerly president of Allard Johnson, has been appointed president of KBS+P Canada; Terry Johnson, who was CEO of Allard Johnson, moves into the role of chairman; Cameron Wykes, previously founder, EVP, managing partner and director of digital engagement at Baby Robot, has become president of Baby Robot and GM of KBS+P Toronto; and Allard Johnson’s executive CD Dan Pawych becomes CCO, KBS+P Canada.

‘This partnership gives us immediate access to new capabilities, talent and further enhances our social media and digitally integrated offering for clients,’ said Johnson in a release.

Lori Senecal, president and CEO of KBS+P, added that the creation of its Canadian shop represents the first step in the agency’s expansion plan, giving it a true North American footprint from which to source talent.

‘Together, we will advance our shared mission to utilize strategy, behavioural insight, creativity and technology to create transformational business growth for our clients,’ said Senecal.

Since she took the top job at KBS+P in 2009, the agency has also expanded its operations with an office in Atlanta, the acquisitions of New York-based multicultural agency Adrenalina and majority interest in New York-based PR firm Kwittken & Company.
