Karla Congson is joining Twist Image as its executive strategy director and managing director and Kelly Small is now at the agency as a creative director, according to recent news from the shop.

Congson most recently worked as executive VP and client leader for the integrated Ford account at Y&R. She also has experience on the client side, working as the VP of marketing for AIM Trimark, according to a release from Twist Image. In her new role, Congson will work out of Toronto and be responsible for senior brand and strategy training at Twist Image, as well as working as managing director of that office.

“We knew that Karla was the right choice from the moment we first met,” said Mark Goodman, CEO of Twist Image in the release. “As the digital marketing landscape continues to expand, we were looking for a seasoned and smart senior marketer that would be able to provide a depth of leadership, coupled with the strategic and planning experience to future-proof our work. Karla fits the bill perfectly.”

Also joining the Twist Image team is Kelly Small, who will work out of the Toronto office as a creative director. Small comes to Twist Image from her most recent role as leader of the creative team for 6Degrees – Real Interactive, where she worked with clients including Absolut, Clorox and Movember.
