*Panhandling for Diva on a Dime
Global Television’s Prime has given the green light to Summerhill Entertainment to develop sponsorships and revenue-generating ideas for its new makeover series Diva on a Dime.
Directed and produced by Alison Reid, the half-hour show will feature hosts Julia Grieve and Maha sifting through thrift and consignment shops to prove that everyday women can look like millions for a dime.
Reid, whose credits include Style VIP, Celebrity Style, and Design for Living, intends to fill the show’s storylines with products and services, and is looking to bring together editorial content and brands.
*Internet use up 7%
The year 2002 saw a 7% increase in global Internet usage, according to New York-based Ipsos-Insight’s latest publication, The Face of the Web 2003 Study.
In strong contrast to the drop in the number of global users seen in 1999 and 2000, the 2003 study suggests an accelerating rate of Internet adoption. The study conducted approximately 7,100 interviews in 13 global markets.
