The public service campaign promoting the 12th annual Terry Fox Run gets underway today.
Last year over a half a million people participated in the event which raises money for cancer research.
This year’s multi-media campaign hopes to increase participation with the theme, ‘We Can Do It’, created by new agency to the account, Wolf Advertising of Toronto.
Advertising includes print and 30-second radio and television spots, both French and English, to be used nationally.
Larry Wolf, agency chairman, says that commitments to air the psas have been received from several radio and television stations as well as from movie theatres from coast to coast which will also be showing the 30-second tv spot.
The Terry Fox Run takes place Sunday, Sept. 13, 1992.
The Terry Fox Foundation was created by the Fox family in 1980 and to date has raised $100 million for cancer research.
