Pepsi-Cola Canada Beverages changed the name of its charity program, The Pepsi Substance Abuse Foundation, to the Pepsi Foundation, effective Sept 24.
Pepsi President Wayne Mailloux says the name change reflects the firm’s intention to broaden the focus of the foundation to other areas besides substance abuse.
Meanwhile, Pepsi spokesperson Raghib (Rocket) Ismail, a star player on the Toronto Argonauts football team, is one of several celebrity performers appearing in a music single released last month for sale in SAM the Record Man stores and participating Burger King and Kentucky Fried Chicken outlets.
Money raised from sales of the single, which also features Canadian performers Love & Sas, Lisa Lougheed and Dream Warriors, will go to the foundation. PA
