Two of Canada’s best-known magazines have begun programs to ease the burden that falls on poor children.

Canadian Living has set up the Canadian Living Foundation for Families to help families living below the poverty line. It will have a specific emphasis on providing proper nutrition for poor children.

The Toronto Life Fund is an endowment. Proceeds raised this year will go to the Toronto Children’s Breakfast Club, an organization that provides care, social and educational stimulation for poor children living in Canada’s largest city. DC
