The retail Council of Canada has named Allister Graham as chairman of its executive board for the 1992-94 term.
Graham is chairman and chief executive officer of The Oshawa Group.
He is also chairman of the board of IGA Canada and is active on many other boards, including Humber Memorial Hospital, National Institute of Nutrition and Canadian Children’s Foundation.

The other six sponsors are Labatt Breweries of Canada, Canada Post, Canon Canada, General Motors of Canada, BC Tel and BC Hydro.
Canada’s national sport, lacrosse, will be the demonstration event at this year’s Games.
The official sports for the 15th Commonwealth Games are aquatics, athletics, badminton, boxing, cycling, lawn bowls, shooting, wrestling and weightlifting.
More women will be competing thanks to two extra events in cycling and five extra events in shooting.
Athletes with disabilities will compete in athletics, swimming and lawn bowls.
