Winners of the 3rd annual Lotus Awards for advertising excellence received their prizes at a gala dinner in Vancouver last week.
Some categories were open to b.c. material only and others were open to all-comers.
Among the winners were Lanyon Phillips Brink for best newspaper campaign in b.c.; McKim Baker Lovick/BBDO Vancouver for best newspaper campaign; Wasserman Cozens Dundon for best single magazine, b.c.; Scali McCabe Sloves for best campaign, b.c.; VRH Communications for best outdoor advertising; Dome Advertising for best transit advertising; McKay Goettler for best radio commercial; Cossette Communication-Marketing for best public service television commercial, and McKim Baker Lovick/BBDO again in the best television campaign, b.c.
The Lotus Awards drew about 500 entries.
Proceeds from the evening will go to the West Chapter of the National Advertising Benevolent Society. DC
