Sorab Mistry, vice-president and group account director heading up the Coca-Cola account at McCann-Erickson Advertising, Toronto, is moving to Bombay to help in the expansion of McCann’s Indian operation.

McCann’s initiative coincides with Coke’s recent decision to re-enter the Indian market after an absence of 16 years.

Mistry will be based in Bombay and will preside over four McCann offices.

The new Coke assignment for McCann includes the Coke, Sprite and Fanta brands.

Mistry, a native of Bombay, has worked on the Coke business for McCann in the Middle East, London and Toronto.

Mistry moved to Canada in 1980 and joined J. Walter Thompson where he worked on Unilever business.

He rejoined McCann in 1990. MS
