Kellogg broadens coupon program

Kellogg Canada has expanded its on-pack coupon program.

In recent weeks, Kellogg has been shipping packages of Eggo Waffles with coupons for brand-name products printed on the inside of the packaging.

Kellogg launched an on-pack coupon program in September 1991, when it began printing coupons on the inside of its 675-gram packages of Kellogg’s Corn Flakes.

Last year, the Etobicoke, Ont.-based company expanded the program to include 700-gm. packages of Kellogg’s Rice Krispies.

Among the manufacturers participating are Thomas J. Lipton, which runs 30-cents-off coupons for Red Rose Tea and Melitta Canada, which runs 50-cents-off coupons for Legends coffees.

Martha Lynch, Kellogg’s manager, corporate communications, says Kellogg has no comment on future plans for the program.
