A test version of a magazine that targets the home office is due out in the second half of October from CB Media.

The magazine, PROFIT Home Business, will be mailed free to 65,000 home business operators across the country selected by income and other criteria.

Sister magazine profit is published quarterly and focuses on entrepreneurship. It used to be called Small Business.

Paul Jones, publisher of profit and Canadian Business magazine, said in a brief interview the new title is a pilot project to see if there is enough editorial material for such a magazine, and enough advertising support.

Jones says it is too early to say how many pages PROFIT Home Business will have. He says ad sales close in September.

He says a full-page, full-color ad in the pilot magazine costs $7,525.

CB Media has its headquarters in Toronto.
