- A print campaign from Air Nova complements the Newfoundland and Labrador Tourism promotion, ‘Ours to Discover,’ and asks travellers to ‘stay home.’ Air Nova is encouraging interprovincial travel this summer with special rates, accommodation/car rental packages and a variety of tour options. The price-driven, call-to-action ads highlight the appeal of the area with shots of its beautiful scenery. The agency behind the campaign is Target Marketing & Communications of St. John’s.

- Allard/SMW and Associates of Montreal has brought a California summer to Canada with its ‘Do the Ripe Thing’ ad campaign for California Summer Fruits. The radio spots, featuring Beach Boys music, explain that to ripen California peaches, nectarines, plums and pears you place them in a brown paper bag for a few days. Commercials air in Montreal, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver. Do the Ripe Thing paper bags are available in specially designed dispensers at point-of-sale. This is the second year that Allard/SMW has had the assignment for California Summer Fruits.
