Barry Jones has transferred to the Hong Kong office of D’Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles to take the post of managing director.

Jones is originally from the u.k. and has been with dmb&b for 18 years.

Before joining Toronto-based DMB&B Canada three years ago as senior vice-president co-managing director, he was with the agency’s London office.

Rupert Brendon, DMB&B Canada chairman and chief executive officer, says Jones’ replacement will likely come from outside the agency.

- Malcolm Roberts has moved to DDB Needham Worldwide’s Toronto office as senior art director and partner to Maura MacNeill, associate creative director/copywriter.

Roberts was most recently with Saatchi & Saatchi, and before that with Ogilvy & Mather, both of Toronto.

- Henry Lobos has joined the Toronto office of Jack Stahl Associates as production manager.

Lobos has been in the business for nearly 15 years, most recently with Sibilia Associates.

Judith Goulding, who has been with the marketing communications agency as director of administration for the past four years, was recently promoted to manager, special projects.

Jain Powell has been promoted to manager, art studio. Powell joined Stahl this past summer as senior Mac artist.

The new vice-president and general manager of Saskatchewan operations for Western World Communications is Vic Dubois.

For the last four years, Dubois was the general manager of cjww-am in Saskatoon.

- Country music star Sylvia Tyson has been appointed director of Canadian program development for Standard Radio’s proposed country music specialty tv service, The Country Channel.

Tyson, who has worked in radio and tv before, entered the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1992. Her show on CBC Radio was Touch the Earth and on cbc tv it was Heartland.

She is the former music partner of Ian Tyson when the duo was known as Ian and Sylvia.
