Casio Canada has launched a new line of personal time management organizers that combine a paper daily scheduling system with a Casio electronic diary.

Dubbed ‘The Best of Both Worlds,’ the family of five organizers come in 6 1/2-inch by 8 1/2-inch carrying cases with room for a pen and business cards.

Bob Stewart, national sales manager for Casio’s consumer products division, says the dual system is being positioned as a primary diary with accompanying backup.

As well, Casio hopes to sell the system to techno-fearful businesspeople who want to make a gradual transition from paper-based to electronic daily scheduling systems.

Stewart says that for the 1993 Christmas season, Casio will limit its advertising for The Best of Both Worlds to co-op ads with major retailers.

But he says that in 1994 he will spend up to $500,000 in print ads in newspapers and magazines targetting the business community.
